Passionate Worship (Daniel 3:1-4:3)

Big Idea: Worshipping the Lord requires all of me.

I. I worship the Lord with my character (3:1-15)

  • CONTROL: You know you have a control idol if your greatest nightmare is uncertainty

  • APPROVAL: You know you have an approval idol if your greatest nightmare is rejection

  • COMFORT: You know you have a comfort idol if your greatest nightmare is stress/demands

  • POWER: You know you have a power idol if your greatest nightmare is humiliation

II. I worship the Lord with my faith (3:16-25)

III. I worship the Lord with my heart (3:26-4:3)

Purposeful Disciple-Making (Matthew 9:35-38)

Big Idea: Purposeful disciple-making is an ongoing, intentional act of shepherding others towards Christ

I) Disciple-making is purposeful…

  • Proactive

  • Emphatic

  • Humbling

II) Disicple-making is an ongoing, intentional act of shepherding others
III) Jesus is the object of our efforts in discipleship

  • Motivation

  • Magnitude

The problem: The harvest is plentiful...but the laborers are few
The solution: Pray. Go. Work

A prayer for the unreached (Psalm 67)

Big Idea: God blesses us so that we may bless and pray for the nations to know, delight and fear Him

I) Pray for the nations to know God (1-2)

II) Pray for the nations to delight in God (3-5))

III) Pray for the nations to fear God (6-7)

Application: Let Scripture be your words & open your eyes to the spiritual needs of the nations

  • Pray in the mundanes (the 10,000 little moments of your days)

  • Pray as it relates to the culture, history, and current event of the nation

  • Pray being sensitive & aware of God's timing
