Big Idea: To live sent with our feet, we must first focus our eyes on Christ

1. Creation is focused on Christ (Col 1:15-16)

2. The Father’s love is focused on Christ (Mk 1:9-11, Jn 3:35, 10:17, 17:22-26)

3. The Spirit’s ministry is focused on Christ (Jn 14:26, 16:13-14)

4. The Bible’s message is focused on Christ (Jn 5:39-40, Lk 24:26-27)

5. The founding and authority of the church is focused on Christ (Col 1:18, Eph 1:22-23, 2:19-21)

6. Our identity is focused on Christ (Rom 6:5-8, 2 Cor 5:16-17, Gal 2:20)

7. Our future is focused on Christ (Phil 3:20-21, Tit 2:11-13, 1 Th 4:15-18)

8. Our salvation is focused on Christ (Acts 4:11-12, Col 1:13-14, Rom 5:6-9)

A Vision for Church Planting (Acts 28:30-31)

Big Idea: Wherever there are lost people we should proclaim the name of Jesus boldly, contextually, and with welcome for the lost.

  1. Church planting establishes a gospel presence in the center of culture

  2. Church planting reaches the broken and builds bridges to the lost

  3. Church planting proclaims the gospel in a culture of confusion

  4. Church planting declares Christ with boldness and clarity in every context.

The Lectures of a Loving Father (Pr 1-7)


Big Idea: We are wise to listen to our Father’s lectures because they are full of love and life
